Reliance acquires Prithviraj Road bungalow in Lutyens’ Delhi for about ₹350 crore

Reliance Industries has bought a bungalow on Prithviraj Road in the Lutyens’ Bungalow Zone for about ₹350 crore, with plans to use it as a corporate guest house for employees and executives visiting Delhi.

The deal was finalised towards the end of July for approximately $36.7 million, excluding taxes. The seller was Singapore-based businessman Dr Bhupendra Kumar Modi, known as BK Modi. A Reliance-linked entity purchased the property; some accounts have connected Anant Ambani’s family office to the transaction, though Reliance has not confirmed its direct involvement or the funding source.

Reliance said the bungalow is not intended as a private home for the Ambani family. The purchase gives the company accommodation in a tightly held part of central Delhi, where private bungalows rarely enter the market. The area is known for its broad avenues, large plots and proximity to the capital’s administrative core.

For Reliance, Delhi is an important business and administrative centre. The Prithviraj Road property is intended to support its operational needs in the city.
