Rocket launchers from Manipur arms seizure destroyed in Narela

Rocket launchers recovered during a Manipur arms seizure were destroyed in a controlled operation in Delhi’s Narela on Wednesday.

The operation involved the Army, Delhi Police Special Cell and the Forensic Science Laboratory. Security arrangements were put in place around the site while specialised teams disposed of the weapons.

The launchers had been brought to Delhi for examination and disposal. They were part of a cache recovered during a joint search operation in Manipur connected to two people arrested there on suspicion of terrorism-related activity.

The seizure also included rifles, hundreds of live ammunition rounds, detonators and other explosive material. The controlled disposal in Narela was limited to the recovered rocket launchers.
