Saini directs action on Bilaspur-Tauru Road power site and Sadar Bazar parking

Pioneer Industrial Park’s proposed 33-kV substation on Bilaspur-Tauru Road was among the issues taken up at Gurugram’s public grievances committee meeting on Friday.

Its welfare association said the developer had not made land available for the substation, delaying adequate power supply for factories. Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini directed power department officials to approach the developer and prioritise the substation’s construction. If the land is not provided as required, he asked officials to register an FIR against the builder or developer.

At Sadar Bazar, Saini ordered the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram to designate e-rickshaw stands and passenger pick-up and drop-off points. The complaint concerned congestion between Post Office Chowk and the bus stand, where e-rickshaws, autorickshaws and other vehicles were reportedly parked on the main carriageway. Officials were also told to conduct regular drives against encroachments along the market’s entry route.

Saini resolved 14 of 17 grievances at the meeting. Departments must submit a status report on the remaining three at the next monthly meeting.

He also directed action against those involved in developing an alleged unauthorised colony near Krishna Colony at Jhund Sarai Veeran in Sector 96, including alleged attempts to sell or facilitate occupation of land marked for roads.
