Sakshi Gallery marks 40 years with New Delhi exhibition

More than 46 artists from three generations will feature in Sakshi Gallery’s 40th-anniversary exhibition at Travancore Palace in New Delhi.

Titled *Of Being and Becoming*, the show opens on Friday and runs until September 20. Museologist and writer Manan Shah curated the exhibition, which brings together works made at different points in the artists’ careers to trace changes in visual language over four decades.

Riyas Komu, who has been associated with the gallery since his student days, is among the participating artists. “Sakshi was the first gallery that responded to my work,” he said.

Komu will exhibit *Walking Towards the National Museum II*, made between 2008 and 2026 using recycled wood, concrete, mild steel, stainless steel, adhesive and acrylic.
