Greater Noida West Sector 1 residents seek drainage, road repairs

Monday morning’s rain again waterlogged roads in Sector 1, Greater Noida West, residents of Ace Divino, Flora Heritage, AIG Royal, Antriksh, Krishna County and Bisrakh Gaon said.

More than 20,000 people live in the affected high-rises, residents said. They said damaged roads and inadequate drainage have caused waterlogging after rain for the past two years. After the water recedes, they said, the route is left muddy and slippery, with potholes and broken surfaces affecting pedestrians and drivers.

Sanjeev Pundhir, an AOA member at Ace Divino, said the road near the society and DG Builder remains waterlogged for hours and leaves sludge behind. “The roads overflow with muddy water, making it nearly impossible for vehicles and pedestrians to navigate safely,” he said.

Residents said they have lodged several complaints with the Greater Noida Authority and are seeking an inspection, road reconstruction and a permanent drainage system. Siddharth Shukla, another Ace Divino AOA member, said ongoing construction and heavy traffic have further damaged the road.
