Gurugram Sector 10 residents report waterlogging and damaged roads

Residents said heavy rain on August 24 left several Sector 10 stretches waterlogged, including roads near Euro International School, the bus depot and Basai Road. An ambulance driver said flooding on Basai Road makes it difficult to operate the vehicle. Sector 10A RWA president Sumit Yadav said vehicles often break down on waterlogged stretches.

Residents also reported potholes on the road connecting Sector 10 to Gurugram Civil Hospital, uneven roads near schools, open sewer and rainwater-harvesting manholes, and stray cattle on narrow internal roads.

Ward councillor Avnish Raghav said desilting work was contributing to the waterlogging and that roads would be repaired after the drain work is completed. An MCG official said the ₹5.5 crore drainage tender was awarded earlier this year, about half the work has been completed, and the remaining work is scheduled after the monsoon. The official said MCG deployed pumps and suction tankers to clear accumulated water.
