Gurgaon Sector 14 roads to be resurfaced after drainage work

Rainwater is filling deep potholes on Sector 14’s internal roads, making stretches near the sector entrance, Gate 5 and Lady Fatima School at Gate 3 difficult to use, residents said.

Residents said roads built about three years ago have deteriorated after what they believe was poor-quality work. They said a complaint through the CM Window did not resolve the issue. Minor patchwork carried out around three months ago did not last, and residents had previously used construction debris to temporarily fill some potholes.

Vikas Verma, president of the Sector 14 RWA, said the association has asked the road contractor and MCG officials to make the worst stretches motorable until permanent work begins. He said resurfacing must be coordinated with a new water line and drainage project.

An MCG official said the civic body has allotted a resurfacing contract for the sector’s internal 18-metre roads. Water pipeline and drainage work is expected to begin first, followed by road construction, with resurfacing targeted for completion by November.
