Noida Sector 150 residents seek road, drainage and transport fixes

Sandeep Kumar says his drive home to Eldeco Live by the Greens includes at least 10 potholes on the road leading to the roundabout near his society in Noida’s Sector 150.

Residents say internal roads have broken shoulders, unfinished patches and dust. They also report overflowing drains, waterlogged and littered green belts, poor lighting, limited footpaths, stray cattle and weak mobile connectivity.

Residents estimate that about 20,000 people live in Sector 150. They say the sector has one exit towards the Noida Expressway and is about 5 km from Sector 148 Metro station, with no public-transport connection to the station. Some residents attribute road damage to trucks carrying construction material towards farmhouse sites along Yamuna Pushta Road.

AK Arora, general manager at the Noida Authority, said monsoon conditions delayed road and drain work, which would begin within a month after the rains. He said drains are cleaned daily, road-safety agreements for 11 crossings are being prepared, and teams carry out daily anti-encroachment drives and remove stray cattle.
