Delhi NCR events on September 5: Kathak, comedy and cinema
From a free classical dance evening at Mandi House to a comedy set in CyberHub, Saturday’s listings stretch across Delhi and Gurugram.
Triveni Auditorium will host classical dance performances from 6pm, while the India International Centre screens the film Vision to Victory at 6.30pm. Elsewhere, Delhi has theatre, a fluid-art workshop and a music-led event, and Gurugram has an early-evening comedy show at CyberHub.
Classical dance takes the stage at Triveni Auditorium in Mandi House at 6pm on September 5, with a Kathak duet by Tarosi Rajora and Richa Baluni, Bharatanatyam by Tanya Saxena, and an Odissi performance by Chandrakant Sutar’s group. Entry is free.
Akshara Theatre on Baba Kharag Singh Marg presents **Master Ji**, directed by Aakshay Yaduvanshi, at 7pm. The nearest Metro station is Patel Chowk.
For a film plan, the India International Centre’s CD Deshmukh Auditorium screens **Vision to Victory**, directed by Subroto Chattopadhyay, at 6.30pm. Entry is free; Jor Bagh is the closest Metro station.
A 3pm spin-fluid-art workshop is scheduled at Tim Hortons in Vasant Vihar, while **Backstage Siblings: The Bhakti Dance Floor** begins at 5.30pm at the KD Jadhav Wrestling Stadium in the IG Sports Complex, ITO.
In Gurugram, comedians Onkar Yadav and Shreya Priyam Roy perform **Pati, Patni Aur Show** at The Laugh Store, CyberHub, at 5pm and 7pm. Cyber City Rapid Metro is nearby.
