Delhi: SGTB Khalsa College starts 75th-year celebrations

Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College began its 75th-year celebrations on August 12 with the unveiling of a commemorative logo, a new-student orientation programme and the inauguration of its college canteen.

Justice Talwant Singh, chairperson of the East District Legal Services Authority and a former Delhi High Court judge, attended the event. College governing-body chairman Tarlochan Singh and treasurer Inderpreet Singh Kochar were also present.

The college said the logo reflects its heritage, current achievements and future ambitions. Principal Gurumohinder Singh described the institution’s 75-year journey as one shaped by academic work, traditions and human values.

The orientation introduced incoming students to the academic system, campus facilities, activities and institutional traditions. The college said the canteen would improve facilities for students and the wider college community.

The college plans academic, literary, cultural and social programmes during the anniversary year.
