Noida police arrest six in alleged fake airline job fraud

An advertisement for “Bretish Airways” led one applicant to a purported HR executive, a Rs 7,000 UPI payment and an offer letter for a job that did not exist, Noida police said.

Noida police have arrested six people in connection with an alleged fake airline recruitment operation that promised jobs at Indira Gandhi International Airport. Police said the group used social-media advertisements to contact job seekers and told them they needed an aviation-management diploma from “Future Wings Learning Institute” before they could be employed.

According to police, candidates paid Rs 7,000 to Rs 10,000 as admission or registration fees. After payment, they were allegedly sent fake admission slips, no-objection certificates, course certificates and job offer letters.

Those arrested include Sandeep Kumar, 23; Akhil Kumar, 27; website developer Rakesh Kumar, 47; and tele-callers Shweta, Sapna and Sakshi. Police allege the group operated from a rented office in Noida, bought job-seeker data from online portals and changed offices, websites, SIM cards and phones after complaints were filed.

Investigators seized two laptops, eight mobile phones, eight SIM cards and two registers containing job-seeker data. Police registered the case on July 14 and said they are identifying other people who may have been involved.
