SNDT Women’s University, AVIXA sign audiovisual training MoU in Mumbai

SNDT Women’s University students will be offered training and industry exposure in audiovisual technology through a new agreement with AVIXA, the Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association.

The MoU covers skills training, workshops, expert interactions and knowledge-sharing initiatives. AVIXA and the university also plan to develop curriculum aligned with industry requirements, alongside mentorship, industrial visits and hands-on learning.

The programme is intended to introduce students to work in design, system integration, manufacturing and digital experiences, including immersive experience design, hybrid collaboration, AV system management and digital experience development. The two organisations will seek placement opportunities with regional companies working in AV system integration and manufacturing.

Dr Sachin Laddha, SNDT’s director of innovation, incubation and linkages, said the collaboration would connect classroom learning with workplace applications. AVIXA Asia Pacific senior director Pang Yee Loy said the sector had created new career paths and that the partnership would strengthen links between education and industry.

The partners plan to share research, publications and innovation case studies, and encourage entrepreneurship among students.
