South Asian University opens 2026–27 admissions for 1,610 seats

South Asian University has opened applications for 1,610 seats across its undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD programmes for the 2026–27 academic session.

The application deadline is April 10, and the university’s entrance tests are scheduled for April 25 and 26. It plans to admit 780 students each to undergraduate and postgraduate courses, besides offering 50 PhD scholarship seats.

New undergraduate options include BA LLB (Hons), BBA LLB (Hons) and BA (Hons) in Media Arts and Design. The postgraduate additions are MA in Journalism and Digital Media and MS in Business Analytics, while new doctoral programmes cover Management, Climate Change, English and Chemistry. A quantum computing branch has also been added to B.Tech (CSE).

Students with a four-year undergraduate degree can apply for a one-year master’s programme; those with three-year degrees will continue with two-year master’s courses. Indian applicants may use relevant CUET, JEE Main, CLAT, CAT, NET-JRF and NEET scores. Applicants from other SAARC countries can be considered on Class 12 results and take the university test online from their home countries.

Eligible PhD candidates admitted through SAU’s entrance test will receive monthly scholarships of ₹39,000 in science streams and ₹36,000 in other disciplines.
