South Western Railway chief reviews coach maintenance at Bengaluru depot

P. Ananth, General Manager of South Western Railway, inspected coach-maintenance work at Bengaluru’s Coaching Depot, including the Sick Line and the Intermediate Overhauling/SS-1 Line, where ICF and LHB coaches undergo scheduled overhauls.

He reviewed the depot’s stores, staff facilities and other infrastructure, and spoke with employees about maintenance work and workplace conditions. The inspection also covered planned infrastructure development at the depot and measures to improve maintenance facilities.

Later, Ananth met divisional and construction officers at the Divisional Railway Manager’s Office in Bengaluru. The meeting reviewed ongoing new railway-line projects, infrastructure works and the status of land acquisition.

Kolar MP M. Mallesh Babu also met Ananth at the divisional office to discuss railway infrastructure and development works in Kolar district. Bengaluru Division DRM Ashutosh Kumar Singh and other railway officers attended the review.
