Noida Sector 122 residents report six-day streetlight outage

Residents of Noida’s Sector 122 say streetlights in A-Block, Tikona Park and Golchakkar Park have not worked for more than six days, leaving parts of the roads and parks unlit after dark.

Shiv Kumar Tiwari, president of the Sector 122 RWA, wrote to RP Singh, general manager of the Noida Authority’s electrical department, seeking repairs. Tiwari said residents had repeatedly reported the problem to junior engineer Rajiv Yadav but had not seen repairs. He said the RWA may organise sit-ins and demonstrations if the lights are not restored.

In Sector 43, RWA president Deepak Sharma said several streetlights were also not working despite earlier complaints. Residents said the outages make it harder for women, children and older people to use roads and parks after dark, and expressed concern about unlit public spaces.

Singh said the Authority would address the issue. Tiwari has asked for repairs to streetlights and high-mast lights, and for responsibility to be fixed for the delay.
