Sushant Lok 3 F Block residents await road repairs after MCG takeover

More than 300 families in Sushant Lok 3’s F Block say they are waiting for internal roads to be repaired, four years after the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram took over the colony in 2022.

The roads were laid around 2017 and have not been resurfaced since, residents said. Repair work began but stopped after the contractor said the allotted material had run out. A fresh estimate was later prepared for the unfinished stretches, but work has not resumed.

Sudakshina Laha, general secretary of the residents’ welfare association, said the area lacks a proper drainage system and uneven patches make walking difficult. Pawan Yadav, president of the Sushant Lok 2 and 3 RWA, said some residents wait for vehicles to pass or seek help to cross the uneven stretches.

An MCG official said some roads in the colony were resurfaced before the monsoon. The remaining stretches will be taken up after the monsoon.
