Tata Power reports 1,800 EV charging points in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai

Tata Power said its public EV charging network has crossed 1,800 charging points across Mumbai and Navi Mumbai, while its Maharashtra network has grown beyond 2,400 points.

The company said it has opened a 600-kW Mega Charger at The Leela near Terminal 2 of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. The hub has 16 charging guns and can charge 16 EVs simultaneously, Tata Power said. It includes six 60-kW and two 120-kW fast chargers.

The site is intended for private electric-car owners, taxis, ride-hailing vehicles and other fleet operators using the airport corridor, the company said.

Nationally, Tata Power and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd said their 10 co-branded charging hubs have recorded more than 70,000 charging sessions. Tata Power has set a target of 10,000 public charging points and 7.5 lakh home chargers by 2030.
