Noida: 17-year-old dies at Sector 108 de-addiction centre

A 17-year-old boy receiving treatment at a de-addiction centre in Noida’s Sector 108 died on Tuesday evening after he was found unresponsive, police said.

Centre staff took him to a hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival. A postmortem examination recorded the cause of death and found no external injury marks, police said.

Police have begun an inquiry into the circumstances of the death, including events leading up to the teenager entering the bathroom. No police complaint had been filed at the time of the inquiry. Further action will depend on the inquiry’s findings.
