Three arrested after alleged attempt to force Bengaluru woman into vehicle

A 21-year-old woman sought help from bystanders after she was allegedly forced into a vehicle in Bengaluru, police said.

Police have arrested three men in connection with the alleged abduction attempt. They said the woman’s in-laws had hired the men to forcibly take her to Rajasthan.

The men allegedly got the woman to open her door before forcing her into the vehicle. As the vehicle tried to leave, its driver allegedly rammed other cars. Members of the public stopped it, and the woman was able to seek assistance.

The arrests follow an investigation into how the woman was tracked and the alleged role of her in-laws. Police allegations against those involved have yet to be tested in court.
