Delhi’s hidden-entry bars: Noctis, The Dressing Room and more

Jagdish works at a tailor shop in Panchsheel Park by day. After 7pm, guests with a reservation and a digital tailor’s appointment slip are led through a cupboard door to Noctis.

The 30-cover lounge has dark wood, vintage chandeliers and jazz. Its cocktail list uses house-made vermouths, syrups and fermented ingredients.

In Vasant Vihar, The Dressing Room is reached through a salon and an upstairs room. Entry is tied to a passcode and reservation. The bar has salon-style seating, dim lighting, and a compact food and cocktail menu.

At Basant Lok Market, The Bar Behind the Sandwich Shop is accessed through Shokupan, a Japanese Hokkaido-style sandwich shop. The venue has no sign, Instagram account, Google Maps listing or public phone number. Guests pass the sandwich counter and a Japanese-style curtain before reaching a room with candlelight, dark walls and wooden tables.
