Two brothers arrested after neighbour dies in Noida loud-music dispute

Satish Sharma, 45, died after a dispute over loud music at a neighbour’s birthday celebration in Gejha village, Noida Phase 2, police said.

The argument began late on Friday when Sharma went to the neighbour’s home and asked for the music volume to be lowered, police said. A confrontation followed, and the neighbour’s brother also joined it, police said.

Police said Sharma was allegedly punched in the face during the fight. He fell, struck his head on a hard surface and lost consciousness, they said. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was declared brought dead.

Sharma had a facial injury but no other visible injuries, police said. A post-mortem examination recorded an internal head injury, Raghuvendra Singh, the station house officer at Phase 2 police station, said.

Police said they found no prior dispute between the neighbours. They arrested two brothers and registered a case of culpable homicide not amounting to murder at Phase 2 police station.
