Two slip-road bridges inaugurated in Kondli over Ghazipur Drain, Hindon Canal

Two newly built two-lane slip-road bridges over the Ghazipur Drain and Hindon Canal were inaugurated in Kondli on Thursday.

The bridges add links to east Delhi’s road network. The Chief Minister’s Office said they are expected to improve movement for residents and commuters in Trilokpuri, Kondli and Patparganj.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said the government was prioritising road infrastructure to reduce traffic pressure and improve connections between parts of Delhi.

Gupta also referred to the city’s drainage network, saying ageing drains and inadequate desilting and maintenance had contributed to waterlogging during rain. She said the government was working to strengthen the drainage network and find a permanent solution to waterlogging.
