Two men taken to BKC police after Telangana tourist alleges threats and assault

A tourist from Telangana alleged that two men in Mumbai threatened and assaulted him while demanding money, with his luggage kept in a room until he was due to board an evening train.

Shiraz Bhartiya Ahmed, a Bandra-Kurla Complex resident, said he and others stepped in after noticing the tourist was in distress. They helped the man get to safety and handed the two individuals to BKC Police Station for inquiry.

Ahmed said the tourist was frightened and did not submit a formal complaint because he had to catch his train that evening. The allegations have therefore not been established through a formal police investigation.

Ahmed urged visitors not to accept suspicious offers from strangers, to keep their belongings secure and to approach police if they feel threatened. For travellers passing through Mumbai, the immediate advice is practical: share your location with someone trusted and seek help early if an interaction turns coercive.
