Delhi UGC NET Sociology re-exam: NTA advises early travel amid BRICS curbs
The National Testing Agency has asked candidates with Delhi centres for the UGC NET Sociology re-exam on September 10 to allow extra travel time.
NTA has advised Delhi candidates taking the UGC NET Sociology re-exam on September 10 to leave early as BRICS-related traffic curbs are expected.
UGC NET Sociology candidates with examination centres in Delhi have been asked to reach well before the reporting time on their hall tickets on September 10, as BRICS-related security arrangements and traffic diversions are expected to affect movement in parts of the city.
The National Testing Agency said candidates should plan their routes in advance and check the latest Delhi Traffic Police advisories before leaving. The BRICS Summit is scheduled at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi from September 11 to 13.
Sociology is one of three UGC NET June 2026 subjects being reconducted. The NTA said it decided to hold English, Commerce and Sociology again after receiving complaints about multiple errors in those papers.
The original UGC NET examinations ran from June 22 to 30 across 87 subjects for Junior Research Fellowship, Assistant Professor eligibility and PhD admissions.
