Noida panel to review work and homebuyer funds at Jaypee Wish Town

Noida Authority officer on special duty Santosh Kumar will head a five-member panel to review work at Jaypee Wish Town after buyers raised concerns about construction, approvals and payment demands.

The panel includes planning and finance officials from the Noida and Yamuna authorities. It will examine whether ongoing work follows the layout and site plans approved under the National Company Law Tribunal resolution plan, including whether any additional towers, floors, units or built-up area are being developed. It will also review whether money collected from homebuyers is being used for construction.

Suraksha Group said it has completed 84 of the 159 towers that were stalled when it took over Jaypee Infratech. These towers comprise 7,913 units, of which the company said it has handed over 5,000 flats. Suraksha said it aims to complete the remaining 12,000 flats by March 2028.

Some buyers in Klassic have received offers for limited access to flats for fit-outs while occupation certificates remain pending. Suraksha said the access does not amount to legal or physical possession, and that buyers who decline can take possession after an occupation certificate is issued. The committee must submit its findings within a month.
