Using self-baggage drop at Mumbai Airport T1? Keep your bag tag and boarding pass ready

At Mumbai Airport’s Terminal 1, a boarding pass and a correctly attached baggage tag are the two essentials for using the self-baggage drop facility.

Passengers who have completed web check-in can scan their boarding pass at a Self Check-in Kiosk or Tag Go station to print a baggage tag. Travellers who have not checked in online can use the self check-in kiosk to print both documents.

The tag should be secured to the luggage and kept clearly visible. At the self-baggage drop kiosk, passengers scan their boarding pass, follow the on-screen prompts and confirm that the bag contains no prohibited or restricted items.

When prompted, place the tagged bag on the conveyor belt in the required position. The automated baggage-handling system then processes and routes it for the flight. Passengers should collect the baggage receipt before heading to security screening.

Airline representatives and ground staff are available near the facility to help travellers through the process.
