Video shows Bengaluru auto driver helping rider with stalled scooty

Tanzeem, a Bengaluru Uber auto driver, is seen in an Instagram video riding alongside a woman whose scooty had stalled on the road.

The video was shared by Chetna Saraf, who said she was travelling in the auto on the way to lunch when she noticed the driver alongside the rider. Saraf wrote that the woman’s scooty had broken down and that Tanzeem helped her for around 10 to 15 minutes.

She said he pushed the scooty with his foot and held it where he could while continuing to drive beside her. He remained with the rider until they reached a place where she could seek assistance, Saraf wrote.

Only part of the interaction was recorded, she said, adding that the clip had been sped up. Saraf tagged Uber India in her post and identified the driver as Tanzeem. Comments on the post praised the driver’s help; one commenter said they had been in the auto during the incident.
