Bengaluru volunteers clean parks, paint garden and plant trees

Volunteers cleaned two parks in Koramangala and took part in sessions on sorting waste at source and reducing everyday waste.

At Peace Rectangle Park, a textile-waste segregation drive included training for pourakarmikas on handling and sorting cloth waste.

On Sunday, volunteers painted the children’s garden at Kumara Park West in Seshadripuram. Residents said the park had been little used and hoped the work would bring children back to play there.

Plogging drives were held in RBI Layout, while tree planting took place in Banashankari 6th Stage and Vajarahalli. Residents, students, children and sanitation workers took part in the activities.
