Mumbai: Western Railway adds Dadar–Dahanu local, two AC services

Western Railway’s revised suburban timetable has introduced a direct evening local from Dadar to Dahanu Road. The service leaves Dadar at 5.22pm and reaches Dahanu Road at 7.30pm.

The through service combines the former Dadar–Virar Train No. 90677 and Virar–Dahanu Road Train No. 93033. Another morning service from Virar, leaving at 8.23am, now continues to Churchgate and arrives at 9.48am.

The timetable, effective September 1, retains Western Railway’s total of 1,414 suburban services. It adds six slow locals—two in the up direction and four in the down direction—and withdraws six existing services. Weekday AC services rise from 145 to 147, while 116 will run on weekends.

Two evening non-AC services have been converted to AC locals without a change in timing: the 5.28pm Churchgate–Borivali service and the 6.24pm Borivali–Churchgate service. Two Churchgate–Virar fast locals, at 6.22pm and 7.05pm, will skip Borivali.

Western Railway asked passengers to check revised timings, origins, destinations and halts before travelling.
