25-year-old woman killed at Gurugram upholstery unit; co-worker held

A 25-year-old woman was killed at an auto upholstery manufacturing unit in Gurugram’s Sector 37 Industrial Area on Saturday evening, police said.

She had been working at a sewing station beside a 34-year-old co-worker when a dispute began over passing a bundle of fabric between their stations, police said. The disagreement allegedly developed into an argument over workplace material.

Police said the woman was allegedly attacked with tailoring shears inside the unit. Officers arrested the co-worker and booked him for murder.

Police are investigating the circumstances of the alleged attack and the dispute that preceded it.
