Woman detained after delivery dispute at Greater Noida West society

A quick-commerce delivery agent reached gate number 2 of Amrapali Centurian Park Terrace Homes in Bisrakh at about 2.30am on Wednesday but could not enter because the resident who placed the order had not approved access, police said.

A security guard recorded the agent’s details in the register and called the resident to say the agent had been stopped, police said. An argument followed at the gate.

A video circulating on social media appears to show the woman arguing with the guard and allegedly hitting him and attempting to kick him. Bhanu Pratap Singh, a security officer with AP Securitas Pvt Ltd, whose guards are posted at the society, submitted a complaint at the Cherry County police outpost under Bisrakh police station.

Police said they detained the woman in connection with the confrontation. The society’s apartment owners’ association said she is a flat owner and has sent her a letter seeking an explanation. No FIR had been registered as of Thursday.
