Woman dies after alleged scissors attack at Sector 37 workplace in Gurgaon

Shivani, 25, died after an alleged attack with a pair of scissors during a dispute at NDR Auto Components Pvt Ltd in Gurgaon’s Sector 37 on Saturday, police said.

She had joined the company on July 13 and was at work when an argument with co-worker Aslam Mian began over sheet-cover cutting work, investigators said. Police said the dispute escalated and Shivani suffered an injury to her neck. She was taken to Vaidik Hospital on Pataudi Road in Kadipur, where she died during treatment.

Her father filed a complaint on Sunday, after which Sector 37 police registered a murder case. Police arrested Mian, 35, from Sector 37 the same day.

Investigators said they recovered the scissors allegedly used in the attack. Crime team and fingerprint experts examined the workplace and collected blood-stained clothing and other material. Police are reviewing CCTV footage and forensic evidence to establish the sequence of events.
