Work begins on Sector 62 skywalk at Noida’s Model Town crossing

Work has started on a new skywalk at Model Town crossing in Noida’s Sector 62, the Noida Authority said. The junction is in a busy office hub, where pedestrians cross multiple arms of the road at ground level.

The proposed structure will be 530 metres long and four metres wide. It will connect all four arms of the crossing and link with the footbridge already in place, creating an elevated route across the junction.

The project is intended to reduce road-level pedestrian crossings at the intersection. It had faced initial delays before construction began.

The Authority expects the work to be completed in eight to nine months. Construction activity will continue around Model Town crossing during this period.
