A 571-metre flyover planned over a major drain near Nehru Science Centre would give motorists a direct link between Dr E Moses Road and Dr Annie Besant Road in Worli.
BMC has put the project cost at about ₹285 crore and set a completion target of February 2027. The 18.3-metre-wide flyover is planned near Nehru Science Centre and Nehru Planetarium, where motorists currently take a roughly 2-km detour through the Worli Naka junction.
For drivers travelling from Lower Parel and Currey Road, the link is intended to provide a shorter route towards the Coastal Road and Pedder Road.
The plan also includes a footpath alongside the flyover and an underpass between Nehru Science Centre and Nehru Planetarium.
