Yeida earmarks land for medical hub, university township and stadium near Noida airport

Yeida has earmarked 500 acres across Sectors 13 and 14 for a Regional Medical Hub, planned to include super-specialty hospitals, a medical college, research facilities, an AYUSH centre, diagnostics and medical-tourism services.

The Authority’s 92nd board meeting also cleared a 480-acre University Township in Sector 14, a 36-acre modern mandi in Sector 34 and a 50-acre international stadium in Sector 23D. Land in Sector 23C, near Noida airport, has been identified for an international bus terminal.

For industry, Yeida reserved 300 acres in Sector 6 for “Taiwan City”, aimed at Taiwan-based electronics and technical manufacturing firms. A pharmaceutical formulation manufacturing cluster covering 100 to 125 acres is also planned in the sector. The board additionally approved a medical-device testing facility at the Medical Device Park under the US FDA’s ASCA scheme.

Farmers in Phase-1 areas of Gautam Budh Nagar and Bulandshahr may be offered ₹4,558 per sqm for land purchases, up 6% from ₹4,300 per sqm. An alternative compensation option of ₹4,037 per sqm plus a 7% developed abadi plot was also approved.

Yeida CEO RK Singh said the projects align with Uttar Pradesh’s industrial-development plans. The Authority will now need to move the earmarked sites and approved facilities towards detailed execution.
