BEST to run 236 extra buses from Bandra station to Hill Road

BEST will run 236 additional buses between Bandra railway station (West) and Hill Road garden from September 13 to 20 for the Mount Mary Yatra.

The buses will not travel to Mount Mary Church because crowds around the church and Father Agnel Ashram premises are expected to restrict access. Hill Road garden will serve as the connection point for people travelling towards the church.

BEST expects heavy movement around Bandra station and the church during the yatra. It has deployed bus inspectors and traffic officers at key points to guide passengers, support bus operations and manage bus movement in crowded areas.

The additional services are intended to ease pressure on the rail-bus interchange for people arriving by train. They will operate alongside traffic restrictions on Mount Mary Road during the Bandra fair period.
