Residents say drain-line work at a G.M. Palya crossroad has narrowed routes to Bairasandra Main Road, increasing peak-hour traffic in residential lanes.

Drain-line work at a crossroad near G.M. Palya Main Road has narrowed a route to Bairasandra Main Road, with residents and commuters reporting heavier peak-hour traffic on nearby residential roads.

The stretch usually links G.M. Palya Main Road with Bairasandra Main Road and is also used by vehicles leaving G.M. Palya Main Road. Sakshath, a daily commuter, said office-goers use the route past the rear gate of Bagmane Tech Park, while the road and its connecting lanes have little room for additional vehicles.

Small apartment blocks and individual homes line G.M. Palya Main Road and the connecting stretches. Resident Suma R. said congestion generally eases after 11 am, but morning traffic brings persistent honking and disorderly driving. She asked for at least two traffic police personnel to be deployed on the stretch until the civic work is completed.
