YEIDA has invited proposals to appoint an independent agency to inspect civic and infrastructure works across its area, including roads, drains, public buildings and water networks.
The authority issued the request for proposals on Wednesday. Bids are due by 5pm on October 27 and are scheduled to be opened on October 29.
The selected agency will carry out regular, surprise and stage-wise inspections; collect material samples; coordinate laboratory tests; and check whether work meets approved specifications. Its reports will identify deficiencies, recommend corrective measures and track responses from contractors and executing agencies.
Inspection records will include geo-tagged photographs, timestamps and unique report numbers. The agency must report critical deficiencies to YEIDA’s chief executive officer and additional chief executive officer within 24 hours.
The contract covers roads and pavements, stormwater and RCC drains, sewer lines, water-supply infrastructure, electrical works, landscaping and rural-development projects. It also includes residential, industrial, commercial and institutional buildings.
