The India Meteorological Department said moderate to heavy rain with thunderstorms was likely across Delhi-NCR over the next two to three hours. Its earlier advisory warned of water accumulation in low-lying areas, traffic disruption and a higher risk of vehicle accidents in wet conditions.

The IMD forecast partly cloudy skies and no rain for the following six days. Daytime temperatures are expected to range from 31C to 35C, while minimum temperatures may range from 22C to 25C.
