DTCP to restart DLF-3 demolitions and sealing from Monday

V Block and Moulsari Avenue Road in DLF-3 are set for renewed enforcement from Monday, with the Department of Town and Country Planning targeting unauthorised structures in stilt parking areas and commercial activity in residential buildings.

District town planner (enforcement) Amit Madholia inspected the area on Sunday and issued a final warning to owners. They have been asked to remove structures built in spaces meant for stilt parking and restore those spaces for parking use. “If the rules are still not followed, direct enforcement action will now be taken,” Madholia said.

The demolition and sealing exercise had been paused for several days while related matters were heard by the Punjab and Haryana High Court. DTCP said properties had already received show-cause notices and restoration orders.

For residents, the immediate concern is parking: DTCP says rooms, shops and other additions in stilt areas have reduced available parking and added to congestion on internal roads. Enforcement teams will inspect pockets where violations continue, and the exercise may continue over the coming days.

The action follows wider DTCP checks on illegal construction in Gurugram.
