Delhi University extends direct PhD application deadline to September 16

Eligible four-year undergraduate graduates now have until September 16 to register for Delhi University’s direct PhD admission route, after the university extended the earlier September 14 deadline.

The window is for students who completed four-year undergraduate programmes under the National Education Policy (NEP) and the Undergraduate Curriculum Framework (UGCF). Applicants must meet DU’s eligibility conditions for direct PhD admission.

Candidates must complete registration, pay the application fee and make any required changes to their research proposal by September 16. They must enter their personal and academic details, upload the required documents and save the confirmation page after submitting the form.

The extension follows DU’s opening of PhD registration for four-year UG graduates and its direct PhD route announcement. Department-wise interview schedules have not yet been posted; applicants should check the PhD admission portal for updates.
