DU opens fee-support applications with waivers up to ₹15,000

Delhi University has opened applications for its 2026-27 Financial Support Scheme, offering eligible full-time students a fee waiver of up to ₹15,000.

Students whose annual family income is up to ₹4 lakh can receive a 100% waiver, limited to their actual fee or ₹15,000, whichever is lower. For families earning between ₹4,00,001 and ₹8 lakh, the waiver is 50% of fees, capped at ₹10,000.

The scheme is open to bonafide undergraduate and postgraduate students enrolled in eligible DU departments, institutes and centres. It does not cover students in DU colleges, BTech programmes except CIC, five-year integrated law courses, the School of Open Learning or NCWEB. Students with an Essential Repeat in a previous examination are also ineligible.

Applicants must apply online by October 13 and also submit a printed application with supporting documents to the Office of the Dean Students’ Welfare. Required records include an income or EWS/OBC-NCL certificate, fee receipt, marksheet, bank details and family PAN and income-tax documents where applicable. DU will announce the offline submission schedule separately on the DSW website.
