Gurugram Metro to meet developers, RWAs on station partnerships

Gurugram Metro Rail Limited plans to meet developers, industrialists and resident welfare associations this month to discuss links between upcoming metro stations and nearby projects.

The discussions will cover station access, advertising rights, station naming and property-development opportunities. GMRL officials said companies could adopt stations under a model used by Delhi Metro, while stakeholders may be able to propose station façade designs as the agency finalises the arrangement.

The meeting will also address pedestrian amenities and direct links between stations, corporate offices and commercial buildings. Stakeholders raised these issues during a similar consultation last year.

GMRL plans to examine transit-oriented development along the metro zone as a potential source of non-fare revenue. Construction has begun on parts of the project, including the first U-girder placement near Cyber Park.

Separately, GMRL has sought 10,000 square metres of land in Badhshapur and Wazirabad tehsils for temporary construction-worker camps. An HSVP official said the request is under consideration.
