Mumbai weather: showers, winds up to 60 kmph forecast Wednesday

Mumbai began Wednesday under overcast skies, with light rain and gusty winds reported in parts of the city and suburbs.

The IMD has forecast light-to-moderate rain and thundershowers through the day. Most areas are not expected to receive prolonged heavy rain, though isolated locations could see moderate-to-heavy spells. Winds may blow at 40-50 kmph, with gusts touching 50-60 kmph during stronger showers.

The maximum temperature is expected to be around 33°C; the morning minimum was 29°C. No rain alert has been issued for Mumbai this week.

Sudden rain and stronger winds may affect exposed road stretches, particularly for two-wheeler riders. The forecast follows Tuesday’s outlook for light rain and gusts.

Mumbai’s Air Quality Index stood at 25 on Wednesday morning, in the ‘Good’ category.
