New Delhi: NDMC plans over 15,000 flower pots for BRICS routes

More than 15,000 flower pots are being placed across New Delhi as NDMC prepares for the BRICS Summit on September 12–13.

The civic body has planned decorative illumination at 17 major roundabouts, 11 hotel premises and 10 NDMC buildings. It has also installed floral boards at 15 locations and developed floral fountains at nine locations.

NDMC is stepping up sanitation, landscaping, maintenance and decorative work around the summit venue, VIP routes, major roads, markets and hotel areas. NDMC chairman Manoj Dwivedi said welcoming installations would be put up at selected locations for BRICS 2026.

NDMC has also deployed officers to 41 New Delhi roads and plans a 24-hour control room for summit routes.
