Noida begins ₹34 crore repair of 11.2km Yamuna Pushta Road

Work has begun on the 11.2km Yamuna Pushta Road between Okhla Barrage and Sector 135, where commuters have been navigating potholes, dust and uneven patches on a route that carries spillover traffic from the Noida Expressway.

Noida Authority and the irrigation department are undertaking earthwork, levelling and widening of the existing four-lane carriageway. The ₹34 crore project will also add or improve road shoulders, edge finishing, crash barriers, markings, signage and street lighting where required. Authority general manager AK Arora said the work is scheduled for completion within three months.

The road serves Sectors 94, 125 to 128, 132 and 135, along with Asgharpur, Raipur, Nangla Nangli and Wajidpur villages. For residents and office-goers in these areas, it is expected to offer a smoother local route alongside the expressway.

The repair work sits alongside Noida’s proposed 50km Yamuna Pushta elevated road, planned to carry traffic towards Noida International Airport and YEIDA areas. The Authority is also planning upgrades to the remaining 10km of Pushta Road towards Sector 150.
