Noida’s proposed Yamuna Pushta elevated road grows to 50 km

From the Okhla Barrage end of Sector 94, Noida’s proposed Yamuna Pushta Elevated Road is now planned to run 50 km, rather than the 31 km considered earlier.

The eight-lane corridor will follow the Yamuna embankment through Sectors 95, 125 to 135, before joining the Yamuna Expressway at Chi IV near Gautam Buddha University. From there, it is proposed to pass through Gharbhara, Mursadpur and YEIDA Sectors 27, 26, 24 and 24A, linking with the Faridabad-Jewar Greenfield Expressway at Sector 23C.

Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna authorities approved the extension in a meeting with the National Highways Authority of India. NHAI will prepare the detailed project report; the ₹4,000-crore cost is expected to be shared by the three development authorities.

The route is intended to offer commuters an alternative to the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway as traffic grows around Noida International Airport. It would also connect with the planned 1.4-km link from the Chilla Elevated Road near Mahamaya Flyover. The earlier alignment and DPR plan had set out the Sector 94-to-Chi IV section.
