MCD plans a ₹2.5-crore amenity centre at Ekta Camp near RK Puram, with toilets, laundry, filtered water and on-site wastewater treatment.

At Ekta Camp near RK Puram, MCD plans a community amenity centre with 46 toilet stalls, four showers, eight washing machines and an RO-filtered water ATM.

The 160-square-metre facility is expected to be completed within three months. Proposed charges are ₹3 for each toilet use, ₹70 for a laundry cycle and ₹1 per litre of filtered water.

The ₹2.5-crore project will be constructed by Hindustan Unilever Ltd under its corporate social responsibility programme, MCD officials said. The centre will have an on-site sewage treatment plant to treat wastewater for reuse, along with rainwater harvesting and solar-energy systems.

Existing public and community toilet complexes in Delhi generally provide washrooms and bathing facilities. MCD says it plans to monitor the Ekta Camp premises every four hours.
