Delhi Traffic Police has asked commuters to avoid several roads around Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium between 1pm and midnight on Friday, October 30.
Restrictions and diversions are planned on more than 11 roads around the stadium for Diljit Dosanjh’s Aura India Tour concert. There will be no general public parking at or around the venue, and concertgoers have been advised to use the Metro.
Commuters using Lodhi Road, Bhishm Pitamah Marg and Lala Lajpat Rai Marg on Friday should plan for diversions as Diljit Dosanjh performs at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
Delhi Traffic Police said restrictions may operate from 1pm to midnight on roads around the venue, including Arch Bishop Marg, Fourth Avenue Road, Dayal Singh College Road, Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium Marg and internal roads in Lodhi Colony. Movement near stadium gates 1 and 3 to 7, and at the Kotla Mubarakpur flyover, may also be affected. Further diversions could be added as traffic conditions require.
There will be no parking or roadside halting for the general public around the stadium. Limited parking for special invitees has been arranged at Sunehri Pula Bus Depot and Dayal Singh College.
Concertgoers can use the Violet Line to reach JLN Stadium or Jangpura stations. Those arriving via the Yellow Line can get down at INA or Jor Bagh and travel to designated drop-off points. Cabs and autorickshaws will be allowed only at designated pick-up and drop-off locations.
