Tender invited for 74-km Jewar airport link to Ganga Expressway

A proposed 74-km expressway from near Film City in YEIDA Sector 21 to Syana in Bulandshahr is set to give Noida International Airport another road approach beyond the Yamuna Expressway.

Uttar Pradesh has invited tenders for the six-lane, access-controlled corridor, which can later be widened to eight lanes. It will begin at the Yamuna Expressway’s 24.8-km point and meet the Ganga Expressway near Syana, creating an alternative route for motorists travelling between the airport area, Bulandshahr and the Ganga Expressway network.

The project crosses 56 villages—eight in Noida and 48 in Bulandshahr. Land acquisition is under way, with nearly 90% of the required land in the Yamuna Authority area acquired; 23 hectares in Mehdipur and Bhaipur villages remain to be acquired.

Construction is planned in two packages: 24 km from Bhaipur Brahmanan in Greater Noida to Bichaula village, followed by 50 km from Bichaula to Bahanpur in the Syana area. The route will include underpasses, bridges, a flyover, rail overbridges, service roads, CCTV coverage and emergency telephones.

The link forms part of the airport-area road build-out, alongside the proposed 50-km Yamuna Pushta elevated road.
